MEC Livros

MEC Livros is a digital platform from the Ministry of Education designed to expand access to reading and knowledge. The portal provides free access to a collection of about 26,000 works, ensuring that students, teachers, and the general public gain access to technical and cultural content. More than 1,000 works of literature in Portuguese, more than 1,000 books on economics, along with titles on history, biology, international relations, and education in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian are available. The catalog includes works in the public domain, enabling readers to discover classics of national and international literature, pedagogical materials, and other educational resources. In this way, MEC Livros seeks to encourage reading and democratize access to knowledge.

Objectives

• Disseminate literary heritage, enabling classics of national and international literature to reach more readers.
